W.W. Williams announced the acquisition of Power Products Systems. PPS has three locations in the Northeast: Portland, Maine; Cranston, Rhode Island; and Wakefield, Massachusetts. They have 142 employees and have been operating under present management since 1974.
PPS represents Allison Transmission, Carrier Transicold, Volvo Penta, Kohler, and Detroit Diesel with sales and aftermarket parts and service.
According to W.W. Williams CEO, John Simmons, “This acquisition represents a significant step forward in the growth of our business from a volume, footprint, and service capability perspective. We look forward to continued growth both in this newly acquired area of operations as well as in our current business model.”
W.W. Williams was founded in 1912 in Columbus, Ohio. In additional news, toward the end of 2022 W.W. Williams announced the growth of its network, with Desert Fleet-Serv (DFS) and A&C Mobile Truck Service, both Williams companies, have become a part of the Guaranteed Truck Service (GTS) network of locations operating across the county. In September 2022, Xos named W.W. Williams as a pilot service provider in the state of Arizona.
