At the 2013 Green Fleet Conference & Expo, the breakfast keynote speaker Kipp Coddington will provide an overview of how the Obama Administration’s policies will impact environmental and energy initiatives. Federal energy and environmental policies have a direct impact on fleets and their green initiatives. At the 2013 Green Fleet Conference & Expo in Phoenix, Oct. 1-2, Kipp Coddington will present the Breakfast Keynote Address, “What to Expect in President Obama’s Second Term,” sponsored by GM Fleet & Commercial.
Coddington heads an energy and environmental law firm in Washington, D.C. — Kazmarek Mowrey Cloud Laseter LLP. The practice focuses on the Clean Air Act, fossil fuels, and fleet issues.
Having worked on well-known cases within fleet, Coddington is well-versed on alternative fuels and how policies can affect your bottom line. For example, he represented the American Automotive Leasing Association and National Association of Fleet Administrators before the U.S. Supreme Court in a case involving the scope of federal pre-emption of state fleet requirements (Engine Mfrs. Ass’n v. South Coast Air Quality Management District, 541 U.S. 246 (2004)).
The 2013 Green Fleet Conference & Expo offers attendees the opportunity to engage with other fleet professionals through a variety of networking events to hearing real-life experiences at workshops and sessions. With a 70-percent increase in registrations so far for 2013 compared to the same time last year, and a range of vehicles of all fuel types available at the Ride & Drive — alongside a 70,000 sq.-ft. exhibit hall — fleets will acquire the tools they need to further their green fleet initiatives.
Early-bird registration is available until Sept. 6 and provides $100 off registration. A per diem hotel rate is also available to public fleet managers.
