UrgentCareTravel, a medical clinic network providing convenient and affordable healthcare for truck drivers and fleets, and ERoad, a global provider of fleet management, electronic tax reporting, and ELD compliance solutions, announced a partnership to offer UCT’s health services to ERoad customers.
According to the two companies, 48% of professional drivers have a chronic condition, such as diabetes, hypertension, or obesity, that restricts their commercial driver’s license medical certificates to one year or less. Due to the lack of convenient medical care on the road where drivers work, and the high costs of health insurance and medical care, many drivers do not treat their chronic conditions as needed, not only impacting their ability to drive, but also costing the trucking industry billions of dollars annually in lost productivity, according to the companies.
UCT Health, UrgentCareTravel’s health membership program, offers no-deductible and no-copay services, including dedicated health coaches, personalized care plans for chronic conditions, DOT physicals and drug screens, primary care services such as sick visits and annual exams, COVID-19 testing, in-clinic lab services such as lipid profiles and A1C testing, and mail order pharmacy services. ERoad customers will be able to access UCT Health’s services anywhere while on the road via telehealth and UCT’s walk-in medical clinics located at Pilot and Flying J Travel Centers.
ERoad customers can sign up for UCT Health by registering from the ERoad website.
