CarriersEdge, a provider of online safety and compliance training tools for the North American transportation industry, announced that Zavcor Trucking Limited is reporting significantly lower accident frequency, fine and violation rates, and improved fuel economy with its interactive training courses.

Zavcor Trucking adopted the online training about four years ago, according to CarriersEdge. Previously, the company employed traditional driver meetings and training sessions. Today, the company uses the CarriersEdge library of courses to train new drivers, including new hires without any driving experience, and for remedial and refresher training. Required courses include defensive driving and hours-of-service (HOS) and logbook instruction while drivers can request to complete additional courses for a financial reward.
