IRVINE, CA – For the fifth consecutive year, Toyota is ranked as the world’s largest lift truck supplier based on 2006 revenue reports. As seen in Modern Materials Handling’s July 2007 issue, Toyota reported the highest global sales revenue of more than $5.5 billion, a nine-percent increase over 2005 figures.

The Industrial Truck Association noted that lift truck sales worldwide increased in 2006, reflecting strong growth in the industry. To be eligible for Modern Materials Handling’s Annual Top 20 ranking, companies must manufacture and sell lift trucks in at least one of the Industrial Truck Association’s (IOTA) seven truck classes. Rankings are based on worldwide revenue from powered industrial trucks during each company’s most recent fiscal year.
