Cummins dealers on July 7 are expected to begin replacing the engine control modules in 21 2016 model-year Terex Front Discharge Mixer trucks as part of a safety recall, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The trucks, manufactured from March 31 to May 9 of this year, are each equipped with a Cummins ISX12 or ISX15 engine. The engine control modules (ECMs) may experience an internal electrical short that can cause a fuse to blow, resulting in an unexpected engine stall without the ability to restart the engine, NHTSA said.
