Red-light runners run red lights most frequently in the afternoon on Fridays, according to a new study on the driver behavior.
More than 30 percent (30.07 percent) of the drivers studied ran red lights from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in 2013, according to a report from the National Coalition for Safer Roads (NCSR).

The coalition's report, called "Safer Roads Report 2014: Trends in Red-Light Running," also identified other trends. Memorial Day weekend had the highest red-light violations of any holiday travel period in 2013 with 39,021 violations. Halloween had the lowest number of violations with 28,902.
Friday proved to be the worst day for intersection safety in 2013. Cameras caught 570,151 violations on Friday, compared with 439,323 on Sunday, which saw the fewest violations.
