Breakdown: The right front lower control arm may contain a manufacturing defect that can cause it to fracture.
Solution: Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 13, 2024.

Component: Suspension
Breakdown: The spring U-bolts for the rear axle may have reduced strength due to improper heat-treatment, which can cause the rear axle to shift out of position.
Solution: Dealers will replace the spring U-bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on Sept. 6, 2024.

Breakdown: The electronic power assist steering (EPAS) ground eyelet joint may experience corrosion, which can result in a loss of power steering assist.
Solution: Dealers will install a new EPAS ground pigtail kit, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 5, 2024.

Breakdown: The windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle, allowing it to detach during a crash.

Breakdown: The lock ring that secures the fuel pump to the fuel tank assembly may not have been fully locked during assembly, which can result in a fuel leak during a crash.
Solution: Dealers will inspect and fully lock the fuel tank lock ring as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 13, 2024.

Breakdown: Inadequate clearance between the A/C hoses and the engine exhaust manifold may result in the hoses overheating.
Solution: Altec will install a remedy kit to secure the hose routing farther away from the exhaust manifold, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 23, 2024.

Breakdown: The steering gear assemblies may have been assembled incorrectly with fewer recirculating balls than are required, which may result in a loss of steering control.
