We ring in the New Year with recalls from several different manufacturers.
East Manufacturing, Lightning eMotors, Ford, and Paccar Incorporated have all released recalls on certain parts of vehicles for the driver’s safety.
East Manufacturing has recalled certain Frame Dump Trailers from 2018-2021. According to the recall, the steering arm may fracture during certain conditions, such as low speed and high side loading. The solution is a new steering arm and additional welds installed.
Lightning eMotors announced a recall of 2021-2022 FE4-129 vehicles equipped with Romeo Power battery packs. The pack has a possibility of losing traction power while driving or even failing to start. The solution is currently under development and owners will be notified in February.
Those who have certain 2021-2022 Broncos will be getting a notification from Ford soon. The company has recalled side impact sensors as they might not be properly secured to the vehicle. The remedy is to have both right and left sensors inspected to see if they are attached properly.
Paccar Incorporated recalled the molded hood mirrors of certain 2022-2023 Peterbilt 579 vehicles. The assemblies may break at the pivot point while driving and fall on the road. The solution is to inspect for a wire harness or tether and replace the hood mirror assembly as necessary.
