LIVONIA, MI - Prime Time Shuttle energizes their environmentally friendly growth by making the switch to an alternative fuel - propane - with the addition of ROUSH liquid propane-powered Ford E-350s to their fleet.
Prime Time Shuttle will replace their existing fleet with 200 ROUSH propane-powered shuttle vans within the next 24 months. Each shuttle van consumes more than 7,500 gallons of gas annually; by switching to propane, Prime Time Shuttle will save more than 1.5 million gallons of gasoline each year. Since propane is produced domestically, this is a great way to reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

"As one of the principal pioneers in shared ride transportation, it makes sense for us to take the lead in alternative fuel vehicles to reduce emissions and help clean the air above Southern California. ROUSH presents to us, with their propane fuel system, a tried and true technology that cannot be beat in terms of longevity and reliability. We are excited to offer propane-powered transportation in the environmentally conscious California market at PrimeTimeShuttle.com," said Prime Time Shuttle president Rattan Joea.
As an alternative fuel, propane offers a variety of advantages. It is available "right here, right now" with a national infrastructure already in place. Propane burns cleaner than gasoline or diesel, with up to 20 percent less nitrogen oxide, up to 60 percent less carbon monoxide, 24 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions, and fewer particulate emissions when compared to gasoline. It is already the third most widely used fuel worldwide, following gasoline and diesel. Propane also plays a strong role in lowering our national dependence on foreign oil, as 90 percent of the propane used today comes from domestic sources of production.
ROUSH liquid propane-powered vehicles are a smart energy choice and complete details can be found online at www.SwitchToPropane.com or by calling (800) 59-ROUSH.
"It is always gratifying to see transportation companies like Prime Time make a switch to green alternative fuels like propane. Prime Time Shuttle has a business that is based on keeping vehicles on the road every single day of the year. The savings they can accumulate by running on propane will be significant, and the cleaner emissions from the ROUSH propane-powered vehicles will help make a difference in the air quality in Southern California," explained Jack Roush, motorsports legend and chairman, ROUSH Enterprises, Inc.
