New Association and Web Site for Commercial Truck Industry Focuses on Green Products and Technologies

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI - The Green Truck Association (GTA) announced the official launch of www.greentruckassociation.com.

An affiliate division of the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA), the Green Truck Association (GTA) was established in Spring 2010 in recognition of the growing interest and demand for green products within the work truck industry. The GTA helps fleets, manufacturers, upfitters, government agencies and other industry stakeholders stay up-to-date with relevant regulatory and industry developments, while also helping to expand and improve the market for green truck applications.

According to Doyle Sumrall, GTA's Managing Director, "We are pleased to offer vital resources and tools to highlight the latest developments, information and research in this evolving and growing industry. The GTA is fully committed to moving the green truck industry forward and to supporting the companies who share this same vision."

On the GTA Web site, information about green products and technologies relating to the commercial truck industry is updated daily on:

  • The latest industry news and information

  • Technical resources

  • Legislative and regulatory activity

  • Market data and industry statistics

  • Research findings

  • Education and training opportunities

  • An extensive glossary of terms

  • A helpful list of key industry links

  • A member directory.

Also listed on the GTA Web site is the newly appointed Board of Directors, which governs the Association's affairs, and is responsible for setting policy and developing strategy for the organization. The following industry executives have taken a leadership role by serving on the inaugural Board:
