Motiv’s all-electric powertrain uses an innovative architecture that is scalable and modular, which allows for the use of the same core components in vehicles ranging from a Type A school bus to a Class 8 refuse truck. The company's ruggedized automotive grade power electronics allow it to independently manage off-the-shelf commercial battery packs, electric motors, and auxiliary systems on any commercial chassis.
Software modules allow for remote system upgrades, diagnostics, and schedule preventative maintenance.
Applications using the Motiv all-electric powertrain include zero-emission school buses, shuttle buses, delivery trucks, work trucks, and even a refuse truck.
