Linde Selects DriveCam to Reduce Risk Throughout Fleet
SAN DIEGO - DriveCam announced that Linde North America has made a five-year commitment to deploy DriveCam's Driver Risk Management solution in it's entire fleet.
SAN DIEGO - DriveCam, Inc., a global Driver Risk Management company, announced that Linde North America has made a five-year commitment to deploy DriveCam’s Driver Risk Management solution in its entire fleet of 1,250 medium- and heavy-duty vehicles in U.S. and Canada.
Linde North America is a member of the Linde Group, a world-leading gases and engineering company with around 51,000 employees in more than 100 countries worldwide. This contract was awarded after an extensive trial and over multiple competitive solutions. With Linde, DriveCam now services the top two industrial gas companies in North America.
“Linde places the highest value on the safety of our employees, customers and people we share the road with every day. The in-cab video capability offered by the DriveCam program has increased our ability to identify driver habits and coach employees historically considered lone workers,” said Fred Kinkin, Vice President, Supply, North America. “DriveCam will be a key component of Linde’s on the road safety strategy.”
Driving behaviors are captured through in-cab video, which are objectively reviewed and scored and then passed on to the fleet for use in coaching drivers; video provides the objective context for discussion with drivers about their behavior. Fleets, like Linde, manage the DriveCam Program through DriveCam Online, a Web-based online portal.
“We were excited to be given the opportunity to work with Linde and are proud of the proven results,” commented Brandon Nixon, DriveCam CEO. “With large, decentralized fleets like Linde, industry and union experience – along with the ability to scale – are critical to minimizing the costs associated with risky driving.”
