What began as a small Ford dealership in New Jersey in 1924, founded by Steward C. Holman, has since evolved into one of the world’s largest family-owned automotive services organizations. With more than 9,000 employees spanning North America, the United Kingdom, and Germany, Holman has become a powerhouse in the fleet management industry.

1948: Holman establishes its fleet management division.
1982: Expands into commercial vehicle upfitting to better serve fleet customers.
1989: Takes fleet management operations international, starting in Canada.
2013: Enters the German fleet management market.
2017: Further expands into commercial vehicle equipment manufacturing.
2024: Being Named Upfit Package of the Year for Trucks & SUVs and Vans by Work Truck.
