KNOXVILLE, TN – As part of its commitment to better health, Pilot Flying J is teaming up with Truckers to Triathletes (T2T) to help support professional drivers to maintain healthy lifestyles. Sponsoring a group of professional line haul truck drivers, Pilot Flying J is using the Revolution 3 Triathlon on July 8, 2012, in Portland, Ore., to kick off a training plan designed to meet the needs of these drivers, such as keeping in shape to pass the stringent health examinations required to maintain a license.
The T2T team will use the Rev3 Triathlon in Portland as a starting point for a training plan that will culminate in its participation in the Rev3 Triathlon in Anderson, South Carolina, in October. During the train-up, Pilot Flying J and T2T will work together to develop ideas and strategies they hope to share with even more drivers in the future.
The truckers participating in the Rev3 Triathlon in Portland include: John Schneidewind, Steve Johnson, Bret Wright, Tom Struzan, and Jason Stringer.
Pilot Flying J has more than 550 retail locations across North America, and is a wholesale fuel provider, delivering more than 500 million gallons of fuel to thousands of customers in 47 states and eight Canadian provinces, according to the company.
