Fleetio has rolled out a new integration with John Deere Operations Center, broadening its OEM ecosystem and giving heavy equipment fleets another way to simplify operations. According to a release, the connection allows fleet teams to pull John Deere telematics and equipment health data directly into Fleetio, helping managers stay on top of maintenance and minimize downtime.

This collaboration is designed to support the people running construction, agriculture, and forestry fleets by making critical machine information more accessible. Instead of reacting to unexpected breakdowns, teams can anticipate issues before they turn into costly project delays.

Addressing the Service Scheduling Gap

According to Fleetio, 98% of fleets are not using a fully scheduled service program, leaving many to rely on reactive maintenance. To close that gap, the platform has introduced new heavy-equipment tools such as Service Program Templates, customizable Service Tasks, and enhanced Geospatial Mapping. These additions aim to turn maintenance from a disruption into a proactive strategy for productivity.

Fleets using the new John Deere integration will be able to:

  • Automate maintenance planning with service reminders triggered by daily engine hours, helping reduce unexpected downtime.

  • Access real-time equipment alerts such as fault codes and sensor data to catch issues early.

  • Track utilization across job sites with location and usage monitoring, ensuring assets are available when needed.

  • Leverage Service Program Templates tailored for off-highway equipment, from oil samples to hydraulic filter changes, with options to customize based on OEM recommendations.

"Fleetio is quickly becoming an instrumental part of our fleet maintenance operations, namely by offering a broad range of solutions that fit our business needs,” said Brian Bailey, Fleet Equipment Manager at Duracap Asphalt Paving Contractors. “A driving factor in the decision to implement Fleetio is their integrations with a broad range of telematics, OEMs and fuel providers that bolster their platform's offerings, along with being on the cutting edge of furthering their offerings. The John Deere Operations Center integration is a value-added service for construction fleets, as well as agricultural and forestry fleets. This integration allows further automation, thus improving manual workflow processes by importing relevant data, such as Hour Meter, Location, Utilization, Fault Codes, etc. into a central hub with other existing integrations already functional today."

Fleetio’s updates highlight the growing importance of technology in heavy-equipment management, shifting preventive maintenance and uptime strategies from an afterthought to a frontline advantage.
