FCA Recalls Single Ram 1500 Pickup
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has issued a recall for a single 2019 Ram 1500 pickup truck that was built on Dec. 6, 2018.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has issued a recall for a single 2019 Ram 1500 pickup truck that was built on Dec. 6, 2018.
The recall is for the software of the instrument panel, because it may not illuminate specific parts of the cluster that are required by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 101. The defect could also prevent the owner from being fully aware of what's going on with the vehicle, which could increase the chance of a crash.
The recall is related to a recall earlier this year of a problem that cropped up in other vehicles. FCA determined that a single vehicle would be affected.
In the earlier recall, FCA determined that the panel wasn't illuiminating driver warnings about the vehicle's systems.
An FCA dealer will replace the instrument cluster with one that has updated software. FCA will send the notification around Sept. 13.
