HAYWARD, CA - ATDynamics, a global supplier of semi-trailer rear-drag aerodynamics technology, announced it has completed the relocation of its headquarters and operations to a larger manufacturing and assembly facility in Hayward, Calif. The new facility will significantly improve production capacity and quality as the company supplies its patented and market-proven TrailerTail line of rear-drag aerodynamics technologies to a rapidly growing national and international market.

ATDynamics' new 16,400 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facility is located in Hayward, California in the San Francisco Bay Area, and will also serve as the company's new U.S. headquarters. The new operation will quadruple the production capacity of its TrailerTail rear-drag aerodynamics technologies in order to meet surging market demand from some of the nation's largest trucking fleet operators. The new facility will also house an expanded new product engineering team working on next generation tractor-trailer efficiency technologies.

ATDynamics currently employs over 40 personnel across engineering, marketing, sales, manufacturing, quality assurance and customer service, and plans to create 40 additional green jobs in the Bay Area in 2013. ATDynamics' direct supply chain partners will also create over 70 full time jobs nationally as a result of increased TrailerTail sales over the next two years.

"Our new headquarters and production facility in Hayward will allow ATDynamics to quickly meet the growing demand for our fuel saving technologies," said Andrew Smith, founder and CEO of ATDynamics. "We are proud to play a role in green jobs creation, which is critical to the fiscal health and competitiveness of our home state of California and the nation."

ATDynamics offers an extensive family of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) verified and patent-protected TrailerTail products, which are compatible with refrigerated, dry van, drop deck, and rolling tarp trailer configurations. ATDynamics' TrailerTail technology is installed at the back of a tractor-trailer to streamline airflow behind the trailer, reducing aerodynamic drag and reducing fuel consumption by 6.6 percent at 65 mph. TrailerTails not only reduce fuel costs for trucking companies but ultimately help control rising costs for consumers as transportation costs can account for up to 15 percent of retail prices.

"TrailerTails have become a highly visible symbol of the most fuel efficient trucking fleets in the country. With more than 12,000 TrailerTails sold to-date, we will continue to work with U.S. fleets to deploy over 50,000 tails on America's highways by 2014," said Smith. "Putting TrailerTails on trailers is critical to our national energy strategy and to the competitiveness of long-haul trucking operations."

Based on EPA verified fuel economy track testing, reducing the aerodynamic drag behind tractor-trailers has the potential to decrease freight industry fuel costs in the United States by $20 billion over the next decade and eliminate the emissions of 50 million metric tons of carbon dioxide.
