Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) announced it is recalling approximately 975 2015-2022 DT65 and DT85 Aerial Devices, as the weld between the base boom and the auger stow bracket could crack.
A cracked weld may allow the auger bracket to detach from the boom, increasing the risk of injury.
Altec will inspect and repair cracks found in the base boom, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 7, 2022.
Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3017.
Detroit Assurance with Active Break Assist 6 (ABA6) will be standard on Freightliner Cascadias built starting in December 2026 and will feature Cross Traffic Assist and Active Side Guard Assist 2 with left turn protection.
