Up to 70% of fleet crashes annually involve high- and medium-risk drivers, according to Advanced Driver Training Services (ADTS), which is now offering a One-to-One Driver Safety Program for drivers with multiple traffic violations or a history of vehicle crashes.

Designed to bring about lasting behavioral changes in high- and medium-risk drivers, the intensive, individualized training is led by expert instructors with law enforcement backgrounds and extensive traffic safety experience.

The training program consists of several important elements. The initial step is an advance review of the driver’s history, so that the ADTS instructor can identify problems and customize training to meet the specific needs of the driver.

In addition, the program offers a four-hour or eight-hour ride-along which, to maximize efficiency and productivity, is conducted during a regular business day in the driver’s territory. During the ride-along, the ADTS instructor observes the driver’s habits and skills and offers real-time constructive criticism and feedback.

Finally, the program includes a discussion at the completion of the ride-along regarding strengths and areas needing improvement. A detailed report of observations and recommendations is also provided.
