WATERBURY, CT - Oil Purification Systems (OPS) (www.ops-1.com) announced that Republic Services, Inc., a provider of recycling and solid waste services, has signed an agreement to install the OPS Eco-Pur fluid cleaning system on all new 2011 Republic Services' trucks. With more than 1,000 systems already installed, this agreement reflects the company's commitment to expand product implementation. The Eco-Pur system allows Republic Services to safely extend oil drain intervals and minimize waste oil for a cleaner environment.

"Oil samples don't lie. Our analysis shows that we can safely extend oil drain intervals on even our dirtiest vehicle types, and we are targeting specific vehicles to extend even longer," said Roy Svehla, senior manager for corporate maintenance at Republic Services. "OPS worked closely with us in tracking and monitoring oil samples at multiple locations to ensure that the oil was clean and our equipment was running as efficiently as possible."

Republic is installing the Eco-Pur system at their body manufacturers on new 2011 vehicles prior to delivery, and plans to work directly with their chassis manufacturers to install the Eco-Pur system on new deliveries from 2012 going forward. The OPS Eco-Pur system is the first and only supplemental filtration system that uses advanced electronic controls to continuously optimize the cleaning process and remove both solid and liquid contaminants from lubricating oil. The system continuously monitors temperature, pressure and flow to optimize the evaporation process based on an engine's real-time operation.

"The return on investment is motivating more waste services companies to adopt improved oil maintenance programs to extend the life of their equipment, while also being more environmentally responsible," said Vince Polentes, vice president of OPS' Waste Services division. "Republic Services' decision to implement the system on all its new trucks is a testament to the proven benefits they have already seen, and also reinforces the rigorous design standards and extensive field testing that OPS has put into the Eco-Pur system."
