Jasper Engines & Transmissions has expanded its Fuel & Air department product line to include components for heavy-duty trucks, Class 7 and 8.
Since the inception of turbocharger remanufacturing for mid-range diesel engines in 2013, Jasper has expanded its availability of fuel and air components to include a wide selection of fuel pumps, injectors, and turbos for light and medium-duty applications up to 26,000 pounds.
This selection has expanded to now include fuel and air components for Class 7 (26,001-33,000 pounds) and Class 8 heavy-duty applications (over 33,001 pounds).
“The expansion into the Class 7 and 8 market was a natural fit for our product offering of turbo and fuel components,” said Ryan Dooley, Jasper director of diesel manufacturing. “What once started as an ‘Oh by the way, we offer fuel components’ has migrated into a full line of components supporting the light, medium-duty, and now heavy-duty trucks and equipment rolling down the road today.”
Gary Duckworth, Jasper turbo and fuel components regional specialist, said the expansion into Class 7 and 8 turbos and fuel components has allowed Jasper to bring even more value to current diesel truck customers.
“Many of our product lines are OE-sourced content at a better price point than traditional suppliers, representing a greater value for the independent heavy-duty truck shop,” Duckwork added. “We feel this is significant in helping independent shop owners compete in an ever-growing competitive marketplace.”
“Our expansion of the Fuel and Air program into the Class 7 and 8 markets represents another step forward in supporting our customers with the same quality, reliability, and innovation they’ve come to expect from Jasper,” said Joe McDonald, Jasper executive vice president of sales. “Heavy-duty fleets rely on uptime, and this program broadens our ability to deliver remanufactured solutions that keep those vehicles on the road and performing at their best.”
