Lightning eMotors announced its fielded units deployed to commercial electric vehicle fleets have surpassed five million real-world miles.
Lightning has delivered over 600 zero-emission commercial vehicles to customers, dealers, and upfitters. Lightning’s vehicles operate at over 80 fleet depots across North America.
A Milestone in Sustainable Transportation
Lightning's mileage milestone is tracked and quantified using Lightning Insights, their advanced telematics platform designed specifically for electric vehicles (EVs).
Beyond monitoring mileage, Insights captures data from more than 150 other key metrics, including:
Real-time vehicle location.
State of charge.
Energy consumption.
Operational efficiency.
Vehicle health
This comprehensive fleet-wide data highlights that Lightning's latest generation of electric vehicles can deliver operational uptime comparable to traditional diesel fleets.
This achievement reflects Lightning's significant investments over the past two years in enhancing quality systems and optimizing customer service operations. Additionally, Lightning's EVs have helped reduce on-road CO2 emissions by approximately 9 million pounds.
