BioLPG LLC and rLPG North America announced their partnership to support and collaborate in further developing the renewables-sourced, green bioLPG-producing, Cool LPG process invented by GTI Energy.

rLPG North America joins European LPG sector providers, including Milan, Italy's Green LG Energy S.r.l., and Stuttgart, Germany's Friedrich Scharr KG, as funders of Cool LPG technology research. According to a press release, the parties intend to engage in large-scale bioLPG production.

rLPG North America is a consortium of well-known North American companies (Blossman Gas, Inc.; Blue Star Gas Holding Company; Cavagna North America Inc.; NGL Supply Terminals Company; and Paraco Gas Corporation) focused on achieving a decarbonization route at scale for LPG supply.

Stuart Weidie, President of rLPG North America, said, "Our consortium recognizes the fast-evolving and substantial need for affordable, green bioLPG at scale. LPG industry leaders want to provide an increasingly decarbonized, greener LPG supply to support global emissions reduction targets. Our Cool LPG collaboration with BioLPG LLC and GTI Energy demonstrates our commitment to achieve that objective."

BioLPG LLC and its UN-backed NGO affiliate, The Global LPG Partnership, have an exclusive global license from GTI Energy to bring to market the GTI Energy Cool LPG technology that converts biogas into bioLPG, a 100% renewable liquid fuel for cooking, heating, and transportation.

BioLPG LLC Chairman and former President of the LPG industry global association Kimball Chen said, "Our collaboration with rLPG North America and the Europeans on Cool LPG development has the potential to make a meaningful contribution to the greener global energy mix needed by 2050."

GTI Energy, a technology research organization, works with a global spectrum of partners to develop, scale, and deploy energy solutions that improve lives, economies, and the environment.

GTI's President and CEO, Paula Gant, said, "The Cool LPG project exemplifies how, through collaboration with the right parties, the expertise of the GTI Energy team can deliver impactful innovations. We are thrilled to take essential steps with rLPG North America and BioLPG LLC toward the promise of a low-cost, low-carbon energy future."
