Volant Performance announced two new, closed-box performance air intake system options for 2012-2014 Ford F-150 pickups equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine, including the hot new F-150 Tremor.
Volant Performance air intake systems feature a unique closed box design that protects the intake from high engine compartment temperatures characteristic of turbocharged engines. A cooler, denser air charge decreases turbo lag, delivers better fuel economy and enhances towing capacity.
Two cool air intake options are available for the F-150 EcoBoost: Volant's PowerCore(r) Closed Box Air Intake System (part #194356) or Pro 5 Closed Box Air Intake System (part #19435). The PowerCore Closed Box Air Intake System is designed with Donaldson PowerCore filtration technology featuring advanced Ultra-Web(r) nanofiber filter media which captures submicron contaminants on the surface of the media, promoting lower air flow restriction and longer filter life. The system is maintenance free, requires no cleaning or oiling and is warrantied for up to 150,000 miles or four years under normal operating conditions.
