Trucker Arrested for Illegal Substances in Company Vehicle
EL PASO, TX – A Texas man was recently arrested when an Oregon State Police trooper found marijuana plants, hashish, and a kit used for falsifying urine tests during a check of the man's commercial truck, according to The StatesmanJournal.com.

As part of "Operation Trucker Check," Phillip Mattoon, 53, of El Paso, Texas, pulled the Complete Distribution Services-owned tractor-trailer he was driving into the Woodburn Port of Entry weigh station to be inspected.
A check of the 18-wheeler found the drugs and the kit.
Mattoon was taken into custody and held at the Marion County jail.
He faces charges of operating a commercial motor vehicle while in possession of marijuana, operating a commercial motor vehicle while in possession of hashish, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and falsifying a drug-test result.
"Operation Trucker Check" is a 72-hour interagency police and motor-carrier operation that involves inspections of commercial trucks and drivers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Its goals are identifying commercial-vehicle driver and equipment violations, with an emphasis on out-of-service violations; detecting operator impairment by alcohol and/or substance abuse; detecting operator impairment by fatigue; and detecting criminal activity occurring in conjunction with commercial-vehicle operations.
