ST. LOUIS – BDS Worldwide Inc., a St. Louis-based specialized transportation company, has unveiled a new identity and new name: Titan Global Distribution Inc. Titan specializes in transportation, warehousing, and equipment and fixture installation. The company resulted from the acquisition of the assets of Bekins Distribution Services Co. by an Atlas World Group subsidiary in Feb. 2004. Revenues for the business have increased by more than 50 percent since that time. Atlas World Group also owns Atlas Van Lines Inc., the nation’s second-largest van line.
According to the company, the name Titan Global Distribution was selected to better reflect BDS Worldwide’s strengths in specialized transportation and to put the company in a better position to grow market share in its target industries. With headquarters in St. Louis, Titan uses specialized carriers and a network of more than 900 warehouses and installation crews, operating throughout the world, to provide clients with a solution to their logistical needs.
