This week, there are recalls from Mack Trucks, Terex, and Navistar. And make sure to check out the remedies available!
Mack Trucks Recall
Vehicle: 2023 Granite (GR).
Component: Steer axle fasteners.
Rundown: The steer axle fasteners may not be tightened properly, which can result in complete separation of the axle assembly joints and a loss of vehicle control.
Solution: Replace and tighten the axle fasteners at the dealership.
Terex Advance Mixer Recall
Vehicle: 2022 Front Discharge Mixer Commander.
Component: Steering Shaft.
Rundown: Improper installation or tightening of the steering shaft may cause it to come loose from the steering column and result in a loss of steering control.
Solution: No remedy has been established at this time.
Navistar Recalls
This week we have two different recalls for two Navistar vehicles.
Vehicle: 2023 International HV and 2023-2024 International MV.
Component: Power train,
Rundown: The rear axle spring wedge shim may have been incorrectly installed, which can cause U-joint failure and result in driveshaft separation.
Remedy: Dealers will reinstall the rear axle wedge shim, free of charge.
Vehicle: 2023 International HV and 2023-2024 International MV.
Component: Battery box.
Rundown: Loose or missing bolts can allow the battery box to detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Solution: Dealers will replace and tighten all four bolts if necessary.
