GM Fleet will offer commercial, government, and rental fleets substantial discounts on replacement parts under a new program unveiled at NTEA's The Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.

The dealer-based discount parts program will include more than 450,000 GM Genuine Parts and ACDelco maintenance and repair parts for Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, and Cadillac, according to the company.

"Fleet managers are the most sophisticated vehicle buyers in the industry," said Ed Peper, GM Fleet's U.S. vice president. "They have a job to do, drivers to keep safe, and investments to protect. A maintenance program built around GM-designed and factory-certified parts can help address all three of these priorities. And with our new GM Fleet Parts Discount Program, we can help drive an even stronger bottom line."

Any customer with a Fleet Account Number and at least five vehicles in service would be eligible to participate in the program, which will be available through nearly 1,400 dealers, including more than 500 Chevrolet and GMC Business Elite dealers.

Discounts, which can reach as much as 32% off the list price, are based on the type of part and size of the fleet. An electronic invoicing system consolidates parts, labor, and service information. Most parts include warranty coverage of 24 months and unlimited miles.

Mixed fleets with non-GM vehicles can benefit from the program, because ACDelco offers parts for most makes and models, according to GM.

Fleet customers who purchase parts through Business Elite dealers also benefit from priority service scheduling, priority extended parts and service hours, around-the-clock towing, job-ready loaner vehicles, financing and leasing options, as well as vehicle remarketing and disposal.
