Mobileye, Inc., a provider of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), has signed an agreement with GE Capital Fleet Services, a fleet management leader, to make Mobileye collision avoidance systems accessible to its truck fleet customers. Mobileye produces the only National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) compliant system, enhancing driver safety, reducing the risk of collisions and improving Compliance, Safety & Accountability (CSA) scores.

“GE understands that fleet managers are focused on both safety and their bottom line,” said Brad Hoffelt, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Products and Services at GE Capital Fleet Services. “Enabling our customers to use Mobileye will help them keep collision-related costs down while building and maintaining safe driving habits.”

Mobileye helps drivers avoid accidents by alerting them to impending collisions with cars, trucks, motorcyclists, bicyclists and pedestrians; when making an unintended lane departure; and when following the preceding vehicle too closely. Additionally, Mobileye’s proprietary Traffic Sign Recognition technology identifies posted speed limits in real-time and alerts drivers to speed limit violations, reducing the likelihood of speeding tickets. Mobileye also automatically controls high beams, depending upon distance to preceding and oncoming traffic.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) recommends collision warning systems, and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has placed them on its “Most Wanted List”. Mobileye is the leading provider of this life-saving road safety solution to vehicle manufacturers, with more than 1.5 million vehicles already benefiting from Mobileye technology, and several million more projected by 2014.

Mobileye's technology can be found in new models from major truck, car and bus manufacturers and is also available as an aftermarket solution through its global distribution network.

“Our work with GE Capital Fleet Services underscores the need for a reliable collision avoidance solution in the fleet industry,” said Isaac Litman, CEO of Mobileye Aftermarket. “Our customers report a significant reduction in vehicular collisions, and we are confident that GE Capital's truck fleet customers will benefit from this agreement.”
