To conclude its 50th anniversary year, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) announced it is offering service professionals the opportunity to take an official ASE practice test at no charge.
To receive a free practice test voucher, individuals should log in or create a myASE account. From the store tab, they should click on ASE Practice Test Vouchers and then Practice Test Voucher. Check the box for the practice test voucher, enter the code ASE50th and click apply to get the free voucher. An email containing the voucher code will be sent to the email address in the participant's myASE account. The deadline to request a free practice test voucher is January 31, 2023.
Once an automotive service professional receives their practice test voucher, it can be used for the A1-A8, C1, G1, L1, P2, T2, T4, T6, or T8 practice tests. Individuals have 60 days from the date they redeem a voucher code for a practice test to complete their review test. It is possible to stop at any point and return later to complete the test by entering the same code, according to ASE.
This isn't the only testing news recently announced by ASE.
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) announced it now offers a remote testing option for ASE recertification tests.
Through its partnership with Prometric, ASE will now offer the ProProctor remote testing option as a recertification solution, according to the organization's news release.
Founded in 1972, ASE has more than 225,000 certified professionals nationwide. In addition, through the ASE Education Foundation, there are over 5,000 instructors to teach over 100,000 students across the U.S. in 2,300 ASE-accredited automotive technology training programs.
Trish Serratore, SVP of communications at ASE, spoke about the organization's anniversary earlier this year with Work Truck.
"We want to celebrate the technicians and other service professionals and the people who actually do all the hard work and have been doing it for years and years and years,” Serratore said.
