Fleet customers who use the Comdata MyFleet card have access to a new perk — national account pricing on truck, trailer and retread tires. More than 10,000 fleets with more than 100,000 trucks use MyFleet.

Comdata Inc. says it is partnering with "industry-leading tire manufacturers" to offer their fuel card customers national account pricing on tires. (Modern Tire Dealer has asked for details on the tire brands participating.) Comdata says the discount could help fleets save 65% on tires, or more than $200 compared to the lowest advertised price.

"As a long-time advocate for fleet owners and truck drivers, we recognize high tire costs and inefficient tire purchasing processes as a drag on fleet operations," said Justin King, senior vice president of product and innovation for Comdata’s North American trucking division. "Over the course of our 50 year history we’ve successfully helped our customers reduce their costs on everything from fuel to maintenance and repairs. Offering a national discount on tires is a natural next step for us."

Comdata's MyFleet Program is a package of services that allows trucking fleets to address their most critical operating challenges — lowering costs, staying compliant and accessing the capital they need to run their businesses.

"Launching our program with leading tire brands is a win-win for our Comdata MyFleet customers and their drivers," said King. "By offering the best discounts at more locations, we’re able to help make tires more affordable for our growing base of small business customers."

Comdata says it partners with more than 30,000 businesses to manage $55 billion in annual fleet, corporate purchasing, payroll and healthcare spending. The company says it is one of the largest fuel card issuers and the second largest MasterCard provider in the U.S. and Canada. It's a part of FleetCor Technologies.
