Reverse Food Truck Takes Food
Rather than serving food, one food truck is doing the opposite: It accepts food donations like a food drive on wheels.

Rather than serving food, this food truck does the opposite: It accepts food donations like a food drive on wheels. In partnership with the Emergency Foodshelf Network, the Reverse Food Truck furthers the mission to put hunger in the rearview.
The Finnegan's "Reverse Food Truck" was launched in March 2014 with an aim to collect $50,000 in food and donations over seven months.
Through the FINNEGANS Community Fund, 100 percent of profits from beer are turned into food for the hungry. Additionally, 98 percent of all funds that are donated to the FINNEGANS Community Fund go directly back to alleviating hunger in local communities.
2012 IMPACT NUMBERS:
Raised over $100,000 from all donations from Irish Amber and Blonde Ale sales.
Donations from profits went to purchase more than 140,000 pounds of locally grown produce for local food shelves
Through the 6th annual Drink Like You Care campaign, nearly $16,500 was raised between Nov. 1st and Dec. 31st.
In addition, 280 pounds of food were collected in the Twin Cities metro area alone
From our retail partners in giving, Green Mill donated $1.00 for ever large pizza sold Mon. and Tues. and from quarterly beer dinners a total donation of $32,000.
From beer festivals that FINNEGANS provided TeamFINNEGANS volunteers for, such as Twin Cities Beer Fest, FINNEGANS Community Fund received a donation of nearly $20,000
