Mitchell1 Announces 2013 SuperTech Grand Champion
Mitchell 1 has awarded Mark McLean Jr. of Fed Ex Freight, the Grand Champion of TMC’s SuperTech 2013 National Technician Skills Competition.
Mitchell 1 has awarded Mark McLean Jr. of Fed Ex Freight, the Grand Champion of TMC’s SuperTech 2013 National Technician Skills Competition, a subscription that will allow him to access one of Mitchell 1’s online service information products for Class 4-8 trucks for a full year. Mitchell 1's suite of software solutions for the trucking industry includes Tractor-Trailer.net, Medium-Truck.net, Repair-Connect.net and TruckLabor, providing information required to diagnose and correctly repair all makes of Class 4-8 trucks.
Scott DeGiorgio, general manager of Mitchell’s commercial vehicle group, commented that “SuperTech measures the skills of today’s technician, which now includes the use of Web-based programs to better diagnose and correctly repair vehicles needing service. Mitchell 1’s online service information solutions are used to test that knowledge at the Service Information station each year at SuperTech. So we are very pleased to award the overall winner a subscription that will give Mr. McLean and his company access to this technology for any brand of truck they operate and service.”
Mitchell 1 has been a sponsor of the SuperTech national competitions since their inception eight years ago and each year Mitchell 1 has run the Service Information skills station, testing competitors on their ability to use computers and Web-based programs to diagnose and fix vehicles properly. In addition to their involvement at the national level, Mitchell 1 also supports and participates in many state technician skills competitions.
