John Schulzetenberg, Luverne’s President and CEO, said “Our success over the past fifty years can be credited to our dedicated employees, our over 5,000 loyal customers and our close working relationship with the city of Brandon and county and state economic development authorities.  We have asked them all to help in our celebration.”

From its humble beginning in Luverne, Minnesota in 1963, Luverne Truck Equipment became the first business in the Brandon Industrial Park in 1985 when it moved to its eight acre campus, where it employs almost 200 people and currently occupies over 216,000 square feet of office, manufacturing and warehousing space.

Luverne Truck Equipment is a nationally-known and respected leader in the manufacture of high quality accessories for pickups and SUVs.  The company is proud to say that almost all of its products are manufactured in Brandon, South Dakota, unlike most of its competitors whose products are made outside the United States.  Luverne’s primary product line includes:  grille guards, nerf bars, various types of side entry steps, bed rails, splash guards and other similar products.

Luverne’s RETRAC Mirror division manufactures exterior mounted mirrors and front-end protection for truck OEMs and the aftermarket, for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks, fire trucks and other specialized vehicles, including the military.

The company’s APM Automotive division manufactures ram air hoods, made of blow molded plastic and fiberglass, for automobiles and pickups.

Schulzetenberg also said “As we continue to expand our sales across the United States and to other countries, we wanted to have a 50th anniversary party to thank our employees, customers and other friends in the community, who have helped build our company over the years.”
