The 2027 Ram ProMaster City is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2027 with a starting price, including destination charges, under $40,000.

Ram Professional says that will give it the lowest starting MSRP in the commercial van segment. For fleets looking for a smaller commercial van, that price alone makes the ProMaster City one to watch as purchasing plans for 2027 start taking shape.

But vehicle pricing is only part of the cost conversation this week.

Instead of relying entirely on a traditional assembly line, Ford plans to build major sections of the vehicle in parallel before bringing them together later in the process. It is a major change not only in what Louisville will produce, but in how those vehicles will be assembled.
