Matthew Sloan, a technician from Jacksonville, Florida, earned the title of TMCSuperTech 2025 Grand Champion at the American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) National Technicians Skills Competitions.
“Matthew demonstrated the skill, knowledge, and professionalism we expect from our members,” said Robert Braswell, TMC executive director. “Congratulations to him and to all the competitors who showed extraordinary talent this year.”
Top Finishers
2nd place: Kelby Bentley, FedEx Freight (2019 Grand Champion)
3rd place: Carl Diehl, Hogan Truck Leasing
FedEx Freight also won the team competition with technicians John Blanchet and Philip Barlow.
FutureTech Competition
In the student division, Tully McKinley of Forsyth Technical Community College won the TMCFutureTech National Student Technician Skills Competition. Madison Boone, also of Forsyth Tech, placed second, and Bennett Fischer, WyoTech, finished third.
