This recognition is well-deserved, given the van’s ability to lower total ownership costs through reduced fuel, maintenance, and operating expenses. Since its introduction, the E-Transit has saved over 3 million gallons of gas and reduced CO2 emissions by more than 25 million kilograms—equivalent to planting over 413,000 tree seedlings and letting them grow for a decade.

As the Transit family celebrates its 10th anniversary in the U.S. in 2024, the E-Transit continues to build on the legacy with more than 1.2 million units assembled at KCAP, with 99% still on the road today.

SoCalGas is aiming to replace 50% of its over-the-road fleet with alternative-fuel vehicles and has select the Ford E-Transit to help with those efforts.
