ServPro, a national fire and water restoration company, has signed a letter of intent to purchase 1,200 Endurance battery-electric pickup trucks from Lordstown Motors Corp.
According to an announcement from Lordstown Motors, the letter of intent ensures that ServPro will be among the first commercial fleet customers to begin to receive delivery of the Endurance pickup truck in early 2021 when full scale production begins.
According to the announcement, ServPro sees the long-term goal of sharing the opportunity and the benefits of this vehicle with neighboring ServPro franchise owners in Western Penn. and Northeast Ohio.
The Endurance will enter the ServPro fleet that consists of more than 40 vehicle models of different sizes, shapes, and utility. “The Endurance truck provides our company with added utility, flexibility, and performance across all divisions,” says Jim Standohar, marketing manager.
“Our project managers look for value and economy, our production crew requires towing capacity and our construction division hauls on a regular basis, so we are excited to see how the Endurance truck will amplify our day-to-day operations.”
Lordstown has already secured non-binding letters of intent from other fleets, including Clean Fuels Ohio, Ohio-based utility company First Energy, and Momentum Groups, an Ohio-based fleet management specialist, which signed for the purchase of 900 units.
