NEXIQ Technologies released its new handheld scan tool for both heavy-duty and light and medium-duty truck diagnostics — the new Pocket HD. The tool comes preloaded with two NEXIQ software applications, LMT 2016 (for light- and medium-duty trucks) and the ever-popular Heavy Duty Standard & OBD II Suite (which supports both J1708 and J1939 communication).

Additional Pocket HD software applications are also available for purchase separately. These include the ABS Software Suite, providing support for Bendix ABS systems, as well as support for tractor and trailer brake systems from Meritor WABCO, Wabash National, Eaton, and Haldex. The NEXIQ “All Makes” DPF Regen application (HD/LMT DPF Regen) is also available, giving technicians the ability to run the essential diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration procedure for a wide range of manufacturers.
