JLG Industries, an Oshkosh company and global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and telehandlers, has added the JLG ES4046 electric scissor lift to its fleet of machines. The company said it provides maximized performance capabilities, implements application-driven design, and offers full lifecycle support for its operators.
“This model completes the JLG family of ES Series scissors, and the added value isn’t just with the updated specs,” says Bob Begley, JLG director of product management. “JLG ClearSky Smart Fleet comes standard, and the future-focused design supports facilities’ daily tasks by providing efficiency and enhancing battery life.”

Design Based on Customer Feedback
To make the user experience even better, JLG incorporated customer feedback to enhance key areas of the product, such as fold-down rails for ease of use and maneuverability.
Maximized performance is exemplified, according to the company, with more than 50% more duty cycles than the previous R4045 electric scissor lift, as well as incorporation of parts commonality, fewer hoses and fittings, and a single lift cylinder, which results in reduced maintenance needs.
The ES4046 is the highest ES Series scissor, measuring at 39-foot platform height indoors (up to 28.5 feet outdoors). JLG said it is the lowest gross-weight scissor in its class.

Zero Turning Radius
JLG said this future-facing, application-driven design includes a zero turning radius which provides access to narrow aisles and tight overhead spaces.
Lithium-Ion Battery Option
In 2024, JLG will introduce a lithium-ion battery option to offer more efficiency, enhanced battery life, fast charging, and a lower lifetime cost of ownership.

Additional Optional Features
Optional features, according to the company, include:
CleanGuard leak containment system for working on sensitive flooring
A 900-watt inverter to charge tools
SkySense enhanced detection system that helps protect workers and property
Fleet Tracking and Service
ClearSky Smart Fleet comes standard on the ES4046 Electric Scissor Lift to allow for easier fleet tracking, which the company said goes above and beyond to provide full lifecycle support. JLG offers what it calls responsive on-site service and technical support from experts, and continues to provide training options for operators, supervisors, and service technicians.
“Specifically designed to meet the demands of the worksite of the future, the ES4046 Electric Scissor Lift was built with new power options and advanced technologies in mind,” adds Begley. “This scissor lift will continue to evolve as operator needs change, to expand jobsite capabilities and continue to deliver the best in productivity, efficiency, and safety.”
