Power Solutions International (PSI) launched its newly designed and engineered 8.8L engine for medium-duty on-highway trucks.
Key features of the all-new engine include:
A forged and induction hardened steel crankshaft, which enables the engine block to achieve 1,000-plus lb.-ft. of torque.
A tuned long-runner provides a higher torque while a special air gap design keeps engine air cooler for improved efficiency.
Modernized, heavy-duty, high-flowe cylinder heads create a fast burn to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
PSI’s lineup for on-highway currently includes our specially designed 4.8L, 6.0L, 8.8L, and 11.1L engines, which run on gasoline, propane (LP), or compressed natural gas (CNG).
