The integration through Teletrac Navman’s open API offers carriers a single interface to optimize the list of stops drivers need to complete in a given time period, taking into account vehicle dimensions, load capacity, road restrictions, hazardous materials, and other configurations that may affect the route.

Dispatchers receive real-time updates, including vehicle location, speed, and mileage, and are able to drill down into overall trip duration, handling and driver time, and stops completed to measure against their goals. For drivers, the integration not only provides turn-by-turn direction but also eliminates the need for paper invoices and proof of delivery.

“We’re committed to serving the transportation industry by bringing greater efficiency to fleet management and delivering tremendous value to our customers,” said Daren Lauda, general manager of North America, Teletrac Navman. “We’re thrilled to add PTV’s software to our growing list of integrations. PTV Group logistics software will help our customers automate route planning and monitor execution of the route plan; further connecting every step in the transportation workflow.”
