Palfinger Wins IAPA Vehicle Mounted Product of the Year
Palfinger beat out some tough competition at this year´s International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) in the vehicle-mounted platforms category. The P480, its new access platform, won “Product of the Year” at this year’s IPAF Summit held in Washington DC on March 26.
The IAPAs award is one of the most coveted awards in the industry, as it is awarded by a prestigious jury made up of executives from the industry, and enjoys an international reputation.

Palfinger was recognized for taking the category of twin-axle truck mounts to new heights with the P480 offering a maximum working height of 48 m and outreach of 31.5 m. Another notable feature is a rotating basket design offering 200 degree rotation in both directions. Thanks to this enormous flexibility and the sensitive proportional controller, the new access platform can now take on demanding tasks at a huge height as well, tasks in which conventional access platforms reach their limits due to their design, according to the company.
