Empowering Utilities and Municipalities
Located in Southern California, Phenix Truck & Van stands as one of the largest manufacturers specializing in work trucks, van equipment, and specialty truck bodies in the state. With a 45-year history, Phenix has consistently crafted custom work trucks and fire apparatus for discerning clients in public utilities, local municipalities, and fire departments. Additionally, Phenix holds certification as a Minority Business Enterprise ("MBE") from the CPUC.
The Mullen THREE boasts an impressive range of 125 miles, accompanied by a Level 3 DC charge time of just 1.5 hours. Featuring a remarkable turning diameter of 38 feet, the THREE stands out in its class. Its adaptable chassis provides a clean top-of-rail, facilitating easy customization with bodies extending up to 14 feet in length and supporting a payload exceeding 5,800 lbs.
“This Mullen THREE Phenix/Knapheide upfit is a perfect use case for municipalities and utilities who need to transition away from gas and diesel and into electric, especially in states with strong incentives to switch, like California and other CARB states,” said David Michery, CEO and chairman of Mullen Automotive. “Phenix is one of the best upfitters out there and partnering with both Phenix and Knapheide to develop this Class 3 solution opens an important segment for us with public utilities and local municipalities, especially in California.”
