From the show floor at Work Truck Week 2026, J.B. Poindexter & Co., Inc. (JBPCO) showcased what it described as its most integrated commercial-vehicle platform to date, bringing together updates across its portfolio of brands to help fleets and upfitters spec, build, and support work-ready vehicles faster. The company also spotlighted expanded online parts capabilities across several business units.
JBPCO hosted a press conference, “Proven Past. Future Driven,” featuring Founder, Chairman, and CEO John Poindexter alongside Mike Postma, president of Demers Braun Crestline Medix (DBCM), and Joe Thompson, chief operating officer of Morgan Olson. The group shared fleet and vocational trends while walking through new vehicle and service updates across the JBPCO platform.
“JB Poindexter & Co. has grown into one of the leading producers of commercial truck bodies, accessories, and specialty vehicles in North America by staying focused on disciplined investment and consistent execution. The acquisition of DBCM is a natural extension of that strategy and further strengthens our platform,” Poindexter said. “We play a vital role in commerce and critical services every day. That responsibility is built on decades of trust, and it is carried forward through a relentless commitment to engineering excellence and long-term value creation.”
DBCM Acquisition Expands Ambulance Portfolio
JBPCO used the show to underscore its June 2025 acquisition of Demers Braun Crestline Medix, which added one of North America’s largest ambulance manufacturers to the company’s portfolio. The acquisition brought together four ambulance brands: Demers, Braun, Crestline, and Medix, with a combined 165 years of experience serving EMS and fire markets in North America and internationally.
“We look forward to showcasing our manufacturing strength, advanced engineering, and safety innovations at Work Truck Week, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to the EMS and Fire community,” Postma said.
On the show floor, the ambulance group displayed a Braun Express Plus Type I ambulance featuring safety systems designed for crew protection, an optimized patient compartment layout intended to maximize clinical workspace, and equipment placement aimed at reducing caregiver movement and fatigue. Also on display was the Medix MSV-II Type III 170 ambulance, featuring seamless side and rear walls that do not require additional body work, along with doors that are fully formed without relying on aluminum extrusions.
