Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Motors America agreed Monday to settle legal claims from customers over inflated fuel economy for vehicles they sold from 2011 to '13, the automakers announced.
Hyundai agreed to pay about $210 million while Kia agree to pay $185 million to cover additional fuel costs. Both automakers restated their mileage numbers in November of 2012. The adjustment affected approximately 300,000 2011-13 model year Kia vehicles.
