Ford has begun taking orders for its 2017 Super Duty trucks, which go on sale in the fall following a revamp that lightens the load with aluminum body panels and brings new standard features to the stalwart work trucks.
The redesign of the F-250 and F-350 follows Ford's aluminum-heavy refresh of its F-150 for the 2015 model year. Fleet customers can now place factory orders or order the trucks through Ford dealers.
The 2017 Super Duty will start at $32,535 for the XL Regular Cab, $36,740 for the XLT Regular Cab, $45,105 for the Lariat SuperCab, $54,260 for the King Ranch Crew Cab, and $62,110 for the Platinum Crew Cab.
Prices have increased by $150 on the XL trim, $365 on the XLT, $310 on the Lariat, $1,870 on the King Ranch, and $5,070 on the Platinum. The destination and delivery fee remains unchanged at $1,195.
The King Ranch and Platinum trucks get several new standard features for 2017. The King Ranch adds LED box lighting, side mirror lights, a power remote tailgate release, Passive Entry with push-button start, and voice-activated navigation. The Platinum also adds power running boards; LED headlights, foglights, and taillights; soft-touch door trim appliques; multi-contour driver and passenger seats; adaptive front steering; and the BLIS blind-spot information system with trailer tow.
