ECCO Safety Group, a world leader in safety and warning products, announced the appointment of Doug Phillips as president, ECCO Safety Group Americas.
Phillips joined the leadership team at ESG headquarters in Boise on March 14, 2016. He comes to ESG with more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, marketing, sales, and operations. In his most recent role, Phillips served as vice president general manager, Americas for Destaco – a global company in the automotive, aerospace, and life science industry.

During his tenure with Destaco, he oversaw five operating facilities across North and South America, implemented a five-year growth plan resulting in record sales and earnings growth three years in a row, and led the company through a customer-first cultural change leading to significant productivity improvements and reduction in lead times.
Phillips' extensive background also includes leadership roles as Vice President, Engineered Drive Systems and Global Marketing at Rexnord Industries; Director of Global Marketing, Strategy and New Business Development at Kennametal Inc.; and General Manager, Director of Manufacturing at Precision Metal Crafters, Ltd. Doug holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, where he also served as a Naval Officer, and an MBA from Pennsylvania State University.
In his new role with ESG, Phillips will oversee operations of ESG Americas’ two locations in Boise, Idaho, and St. Louis by establishing long-term, strategic initiatives.
