BMW Introduces Diesel 7 Series Sedan
BMW will introduce its first diesel-powered 7 Series sedan in the U.S. in the spring, after showing it at the Chicago Auto Show in early February.

BMW will introduce its first diesel-powered 7 Series sedan in the U.S. in the spring, after showing it at the Chicago Auto Show in early February, the automaker announced Friday.
The 2014 740Ld xDrive sedan will feature a 3.0L inline six turbo diesel that will generate 255 horsepower and 413 lb.-ft. of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel-drive sedan will be available only in a long wheelbase version.
The vehicle will come standard with auto stop-start to reduce fuel consumption. The vehicle is expected to reduce fuel usage by 25 to 30 percent compared with its gasoline counterpart, according to BMW. It will retail for $83,425.
